Pricing

All goods offered for sale through our website are priced in Pounds Sterling (£).
Customs & import duties are not included. The customer is solely responsible for payment of any surcharges, please check with your local Customs & Excise office for any duties that may have to be paid.

Delivery

All orders will be dispatched within 6 workings days via Royal Mail or Hermes.
If a delay occurs you will be notified immediately. You will be given the option to arrange a convenient delivery date or to cancel the order with a full refund.

We aim to keep charges to the minimum required but please remember an allowance for packaging costs has been included in the shipping costs. Add items to your cart to see delivery charges.

Handling Complaints

We endeavour to acknowledge all complaints within 2 working days.
We will advise you of how long it will take to resolve the complaint and keep you informed throughout the process.

The copyright in the general content, design, logos and information contained in this website is owned by HM Laser Design Ltd.

All product names and logos are covered by copyright of the relevant manufacturer. Content or images on this website may not be modified, used, reproduced or displayed for personal, public or commercial use.

Law and Jurisdiction

The Contract shall be deemed to be made in England. All Contracts made between BackYard Designs and the Customer shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute arising therein shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the English courts.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

Shipping

Order Processing and Shipment

All products are made to order, providing raw materials are in-stock, items are shipped within 6 working days from date of purchase. If this time period increases due to raw materials or seasonal periods, you will be notified via email and will be given the option to receive a full refund.

Orders placed on Friday will be processed and shipped the following Monday.

Standard Delivery: Our standard delivery service for mainland UK is Royal Mail.

Standard delivery times are as follows:

- 2nd class: 2-4 business days from the date of shipment.

- Other International Deliveries: Please email studio@bydesigns.co.uk for different shipping options.

Returns
Products may be returned for any reason within 28 days of original purchase. In order to request a refund, email customer service at studio@bydesigns.co.uk. Reimbursement will be issued within a period of 5 days from receiving the product and will be issued in the same manner as the original payment method.

The product must be returned in suitable packaging along with a copy of the invoice. Goods returned which are not defective or faulty will be returned to us at your own cost with adequate insurance to cover the cost of the goods against loss or damage. This does not affect your statutory rights.

What you can’t send back:

Unfortunately, some items are non-cancellable and non-refundable:

• Anything that’s made to your specific requirements (ie: outside of standard customisation options offered by the seller to all customers), is personalised or otherwise can't be resold due to a bespoke element

• Creative pieces that are specially commissioned when you place an order.

Damaged Goods

All orders are carefully checked before dispatch. Occasionally, items are damaged and we will make every effort to rectify the situation.

We will do our best to ensure that you are fully satisfied with your purchase.

When receiving courier deliveries please check for parcel damage before signing the acceptance form. If the parcel is damaged please sign and write ‘damaged’ on the form or if the damage is extensive please refuse delivery.

If the goods are damaged in-transit, please notify us within 7 days of receiving them by sending photos of the damage to studio@bydesigns.co.uk. Keep all the packaging material and arrange to have the item returned to us. You will be given the option to have the product replaced at no charge to you on a convenient date or to have a full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Lost Parcels

Please advise us if you do not receive your item(s) within 10 days of your order dispatch date so that we can trace the parcel. Overseas orders may take longer.

All items are insured for loss during shipping. If you do not receive an item please contact us and we will file a claim against Royal Mail or the relevant courier. Claims can only be filed 50 working days after the dispatch date and may take up to 8 weeks to complete. Royal Mail will investigate and require you to sign a statement of loss before issuing compensation to us.

We reserve the right to refund payment or dispatch a replacement only after we receive authorisation from Royal Mail.

PRIVACY POLICY

Our Privacy Policy

We use information collected from you, lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
You have a right to request a copy of the information that we hold, and to request we delete this information from our systems or that we do not use it for direct marketing purposes.
The information collected may be used for dealing with your queries, for billing and for delivery purposes, and to provide information to you about our products and services.
The information collected consists only of contact details: name, address, telephone number and email address.

We do not share information with any third party.

We do not hold credit or debit card details.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a “cookie” which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.
